There is nothing like the morning as the day awakens, the trees are silhouetted against the sky, a freshly brewed coffee, smelling the fresh air, and watching that beautiful sunrise. Close your eyes and listen to the birds chirping, take a deep breath and relax…What a wonderful feeling.

When leaving home for a vacation, what do we look for in accommodation? Comfortable beds, cleanliness, and a variety of amenities that you don’t need to bring along with you. Sunset Bay Resort sets the bar high, our comfortable Cabins and cozy Lodge are equipped with all the amenities “your home away from home”. The Cabins and Lodge are just steps away from Sunset Bay’s sandy family suntan beach on Emma Lake, with a full-service marina (premium fuel, launching and confectionery), public picnic area and beach. A public laundromat for those unpredictable spills, ice cream and coffee shop.
As the sun sets, Saskatchewanians are confident that our sunsets are the best on earth, in fact, we believe the Emma Lake sunsets are so fine we named our resort after them. On a clear evening you might even get a glimpse of the Northern Lights dancing rhythmically across the blanket of stars.

Summer is the most popular time to enjoy the lake, but spring, fall, and winter also have their own uniqueness and beauty.
In a Cabin, experience yourself enjoying a fresh brewed morning coffee on the deck (sun, rain, or snow) while watching the sunrise. Lunch is capturing the kids roasting their hotdogs around the fire, and when the sun is starting to set, your mouth is watering for that tomahawk steak cooking on the BBQ. What a great day enjoying family, friends, and the good times. These are the wonderful memories you want to put into the photo album.
The Lodge is not what most people expect… it’s more. You will not want to leave these cozy rooms which are well appointed, with table and chairs under a covered deck, away from the elements. A firepit in front of each room, where you can have a small fire, or maybe prepare that campfire meal. What more can you ask for?
It does not matter the season the Cabins and Lodge are always warm, comfy, and cozy.

Your adventure begins when you decide that Sunset Bay Resort is your vacation destination. Sunset Bay Resort is fortunate to be surrounded by the elements and beauty of the four seasons.
We are in the heart of golfer’s paradise with numerous golf courses within a 70-kilometer radius. The lake is only steps away from your accommodation. Imagine fishing off of the dock, paddle boarding on a mirror smooth lake, or water skiing on one of the three Emma Lakes. Take the scenic route to the Prince Albert National Park, with numerous lakes and look-out points to explore. Experience the change of colors from lush green to vibrant fall orange, brown, and gold. Fall is the perfect time for those walks and hikes and observing the different types of birds. If you are quiet enough, you may even catch a glimpse of our many four-legged friends that live among us. Get on your ATV and explore the trails, and maybe get “a little mud on your tires”.
As the days become shorter and the snow accumulates, and snowmobiling is your forte…it may take you a few days to enjoy the Lakeland Tree Dodgers Trails. With over four hundred kilometers of groomed trails to enjoy the winter beauty, as you go through tall pines, meadows, and lakes, before you stop at one of the thirteen modern warm-up shelters. Don’t forget to bring a beverage to enjoy as you prepare the hot dogs and beans on the wood stove. Pick the right spot on the lake for that ice fishing experience. Ensure you pack your skates for a friendly game of lake hockey, or just a leisurely skate. The best is that morning coffee or that late night hot chocolate in the fresh air.
